Volunteer Fundraising Administrative Assistant

 

OVERVIEW OF POSITION

Oak Ridges Hospice is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fundraising Administration Volunteer to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our fundraising efforts, helping to ensure that we can continue to provide compassionate care to our community. The ideal candidate will have administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter and maintain donor and event data in our fundraising database.

  • Event Planning and Delivery: Assist in organizing and executing fundraising and outreach events, including logistics, setup, and on-the-day coordination.

  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks to support the fundraising team, such as preparing materials and managing correspondence.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Fund Development Coordinator and other staff and volunteers to ensure the success of fundraising initiatives.

  • Additional Tasks: Undertake other duties as required to support Oak Ridges Hospice’s fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Administrative Experience: Prior experience in an administrative role is required.

  • Proven proficiency in computer skills, with experience in Microsoft One software considered an asset.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Attention to Detail: Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and other tasks.

  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating a collaborative and cooperative approach.

  • Outgoing and Collaborative: Friendly and approachable demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment: Willingness to commit to 12 hours per month to support Oak Ridges Hospice’s fundraising activities.

  • Capable of adapting to a dynamic role with evolving requirements

  • 2 Reference Checks

  • Up to date Covid-19 vaccination

  • Oak Ridges Volunteer Orientation (2 hours)

Expected Time Commitment

  • 12 Hours per month

To become a volunteer you must:

  • Be 16 years or older, and 18 years or older to work directly with residents and families

  • Submit an online application

  • Attend a screening interview

  • Show proof of vaccination
