5th Annual Golf for Hospice Tournament

Our 5th Annual Golf for Hospice Tournament was held on September 19th, 2019 at Lakeridge Links Golf Course. It was a day of laughter, friendship and fundraising, and a perfect day to enjoy a round of golf in support of a very worthy cause.

This year’s tournament raised over $115,000 for our “Building for Compassionate Care” Capital Campaign, bringing this epic event’s five-year tally to over $600,000!

We are immensely grateful for the ongoing support of our wonderfully generous players, sponsors and volunteers whose efforts will have a lasting impact on the lives of hundreds of Durham families who will benefit from the compassionate care and comfort to be provided at Oak Ridges Hospice.

As golfers arrived a delicious BBQ lunch awaited along with a welcome gift and great music. Catching up with old friends at lunch lead to stories and laughter before heading out on the course for a perfect day of golf.

Always a highlight of the event, the Highland Creek Pipe Band had everyone singing, including our own Kevin Morgan who lead the gang in a few verses of the “Fields of Athenry” to raise some extra money!
